ReplyDeleteWell I have arrived safe and well. The flight was actually ok and the trip on the MTR from the Airport to the Salisbury was a breeze. Melbourne could learn a thing or two about accessible public transport servicing the airport!
ReplyDeleteSo first impressions of Hong Kong. Yep it's humid. Real humid. But I actually quite like it. What has blown me away is the amount of people here, and despite this how clean it is. The Salisbury is in a pretty premo location, surrounded by shopping and shopping and more shopping. I am actaully suprised at the amount of shopping centres, arcades etc there are and that would just be within a two km raidus of the hotel. Needless to say I have given my feet and my credit card a trashing already. I am having dinner with my second cousin who is an ex-pat tonight so I won't have to have dinner by myself. The rest of the Aussie delegation are due to arrive at sparrows on Monday. You may be wondering why I am posting in the comments section. Well. Because. I havent quite worked out this blog thing yet and the home page is coming up with funny characters. I will try again tomorrow and will even have a crack at loading up some pictures. Cheers Ari
This is a great blog and I will enjoy reading all of the updates. Is that really Peter Burns with a beard? I haven't seen him recently!
ReplyDeleteI hope all the delegates have an amazing conference in vibrant, wonderful H.K. Let Jenny Mc know that the Canberra Y is surviving without her (just!)
Keep the news coming,
Debbie Bishop.
